Design criteria

Structures and mechanisms calculation according to :

“Regles pour le calcul des appareils de levage” 2 issued by F.F.M. (Federation European de la Manutention) 3rd edition dated 10.01.87 for steel structures and also for mechanical parts.

Eurocode 3: design of steel structures Env. 1993 1 (European Pre-standard issued by FEM : European Committee for Standardization.)

Note : in addition in some parts of the calculation note there will be references to Italian rules CNR 10011/85 ” costruzioni in acciaio : isfruzioni per il calcolo, l’esecuzione, il comando e la manutenzione”.

Description of steering and self-advancing straddle carrier hydraulic operating assembled on tyres.

The straddle carrier kinematism allows the wheels to bear some angulafions relative one to each other; therefore it is possible to follow the small irregularities of ground. The pier carpentry is realized with elements composed and suitably stiffened.

Motorisation is based on the principle of hydrostatic transmission with all the advantages it is possible to have.

Lifting is obtained by low speed hydraulic winches and load limiters.

Hydraulic pump motor

The motor, starts 2 pumps, one fixed capacity and one variable capacity.

The first one is for steering movements and for lifting, the second one is for transmission control.

Distributors and controls

The moving power is transmitted by hydraulic pumps to different devices by hydraulic distributors.

The controls will be operated by remote control system for: hooks lifting

  • steering
  • translation forward and backward.

Lifting hooks movement is carried out by one system of pulley.
